Cureton Orthodontics started in 2001 when Dr. Steven Cureton opened his practice in Kingsport, TN. Ten years later his son, Dr. Scott Cureton finished his orthodontic residency and came in to partner with his dad (which was a lifelong dream of his). Dr. Steven used his 20 years of orthodontic experience he gained working in the US Army and passed it down to his son. In 2019 Dr. Steven retired and Dr. Scott uses that invaluable knowledge to carry on his tradition of excellent treatment for an honest price. He's also brought his own flair with his knack for technology. This very website he created, along with multiple funny orthodontic music videos. He's also integrated practice software, 3D printing and intraoral scanning that allows for no more goopy impressions and more accurate treatment. Check out more information about that below!

Intraoral Scanning
Intraoral scanning technology allows us to not have to use goopy impression material, which is both more accurate and much easier on our patients.
3D Software
State of the art 3D software allows us to do a multitude of things like design retainers and appliances, monitor tooth movement, ideal braces placement, and so much more!
3D Printing
Top of the line 3D printers allow us to quickly and accurately print models, clear aligners and bracket positioners.
In-office Retainer Fabrication
This new technology allows us to make the most accurate retainers. Also, patients get to keep their models for quick and easy refabrication if they are lost or broken

This is an amazing places to go. My daughter recently needed braces and we chose Cureton. They are super friendly and took away any anxiety she was feeling with getting them put on (they also have an awesome office doggie that is SUPER adorable) 🐕🦺
The staff are so friendly and they make all the kids feel so comfortable. There’s even a dog, Fynn who roams around treating patients! Great atmosphere!!
Not only is Dr. Cureton super friendly, he makes you feel comfortable and welcomed with each visit. His staff is wonderful as well! I had braces with them for 3 years, and at the time Heather I believe her name was, made me feel right at home. She was always super sweet, and we would talk about college courses we both were currently taking, and it was nice to feel connected with the people making a difference with your self esteem. I'm not sure I could have survived 3 years with any other staff. Simply the best. ☺️
